Frequently asked questions
How do I measure my hand for gloves?
Wrap a soft tape measure around the fullest part of your palm — across the knuckles, not including the thumb. Use your dominant hand (it's usually slightly larger) and keep your hand relaxed and flat. The measurement in inches is essentially your numeric glove size: an 8.5-inch hand is a size 8½.
What glove size am I?
Your numeric glove size equals your hand circumference in inches. Most women fall between 6½ and 8 (S–L) and most men between 8 and 10 (S–XL). Measure around your knuckles and enter it above for the exact size and alpha equivalent.
Are glove sizes the same for men and women?
The numeric sizes (7, 8, 9…) are unisex and based purely on hand circumference. What differs is the alpha label: a size 8 is a women's L but a men's S, because women's and men's ranges are centered differently. The converter shows both.
Should gloves fit tight or loose?
Gloves should fit snugly with no loose fingertip material, but still let you make a fist comfortably. For warmth, a hair looser is fine; for work or cycling gloves, go closer to your exact size. Between sizes, size up for comfort and down for dexterity.
Do EU and US glove sizes differ?
No — numeric glove sizing (6, 7, 8…) is international, so a size 8 is the same in the US and Europe. Only the S/M/L labels and brand cuts vary.
